As one of the larger unions representing employees in the healthcare industry, as well as janitors in office buildings in certain cities, the SEIU has had 330 strikes over the last 20 years.
Averaging 23 days out on strike, the SEIU has had over 164,000 members on the picket line in the last 30 years—that's nearly 10 percent of the entire SEIU membership today.
Many of these strike have occurred in the health care industry, which makes one wonder if the SEIU truly cares about the patients the SEIU members represent, or whether the union's agenda is more important.
